YouTube’s provided an update on its expansion of automatic dubbing, while it’s also shared a new way to use its live-stream gifting tools, and some tips on how creators can maximize their gifts.
First off, on auto-dubbing, a highly-anticipated option that enables YouTubers to automatically share their content in different languages, by activating audio translations of their content.
After expanding access at the end of last year, YouTube says that auto-dubbing now available to all creators in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP)
As per YouTube:
“We’re happy to announce that, now, all creators in YPP have early access to auto-dubbing and can self-enroll via YouTube Studio. We’re working to expand auto-dubbing to more creators in the future so stay tuned.”
The option could enable creators to reach new audiences across language barriers, significantly boosting your reach potential. I mean, the lip movements won’t match up (that’s another element in development), but by making content available to more users, that significantly expands opportunities in the app.

On another front, YouTube’s adding a new live-stream donation option called “combo-gifting,” which will enable viewers to give live-streamers several digital gifts at one time during a stream.
Which seems like a fairly niche use-case, but YouTube says that a growing number of viewers have been looking to send multiple gifts at once during a broadcast, in order to make their contribution stand out, and get the attention of the streamer.
Which YouTube’s now looking to better facilitate:
“We’re happy to announce ‘Combo Gifting,’ an even easier way for viewers to send gifts repeatedly to engage in live streams. Up till now, viewers could buy a bundle of jewels, enabling viewers to send gifts in succession. Now, viewers can send a gift to initiate a combo.”
YouTube says that this new “Combo” button, visible only to the gifter, will now appear for a few seconds after the viewer sends a gift.
“Tapping the button extends the amount of time the button is displayed. The combo counter grows with each new addition, and the gift is pinned on screen as long as the combo is occurring. This is visible to all viewers.”
So, basically, you’ll be able to get more attention in-stream momentarily with these multi-gifts, which will provide more opportunity for viewers to grab streamer attention.
Which is an important consideration for streamers to factor in, and YouTube has also provided some best practice tips for creators receiving gifts, in order to maximize the connective and community benefits:
Clearly, given the addition of combo gifting, viewers really want that attention, and YouTube’s looking to encourage more streamers to feed into this in order to maximize their streams, and their earnings potential.
YouTube also notes that creators should also clarify that gifts are currently only available in the U.S. to avoid confusion.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
