Flight services between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam will be restored on June 1, 2025, according to Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Union Minister for Civil Aviation.
Announcing this in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, on Monday, Ram Mohan Naidu said the schedule was finalised in the ‘most convenient’ manner to suit the needs of all passengers.
As per the schedule, the IndiGo Airlines ATR flight would take off at 7.15 am from Vijayawada to land at 8.25 am in Visakhapatnam. On the return journey, the flight would take off at Visakhapatnam at 8.45 am to land at Vijayawada at 9.50 am, the Minister said, adding that strengthening regional air connectivity and providing fast transportation facilities between developing cities is the main objective of his Ministry, according to a release.
The flight service, which was available earlier, was stopped forcing the travellers to reach Visakhapatnam from Vijayawada via Hyderabad.
