‘Sambhal Is The Truth’: UP CM Yogi Adityanath Defends Excavation to Revive Temples, Vows to Locate More Pilgrimage Sites

In a recently premiered podcast by ANI’s Smita Prakash, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has strongly defended the excavation work underway in Sambhal to revive temples in the city. Informing that the authorities have identified more than 54 pilgrimage sites already in Sambhal, the Uttar Pradesh CM has affirmed to continue the efforts to locate the remaining ones.

“We will find them (Jitne Bhi Honge, Sab Dhoonde Jayenge) and tell the world to come and see what had happened in Sambhal. Sambhal is the truth…Islam says that if you build any place of worship by breaking a Hindu temple or a Hindu house, it is not accepted by the Almighty,” CM Yogi said.

Emphasising that the important Hindu pilgrimage sites are India’s symbol of inheritance, CM Yogi sent a strong message on the issue of mosques built on the ruins of vandalised Hindu temples. He questioned that when Islam says worship places constructed after destroying Hindu temples are not accepted by God, then why were they built?

“The scientific evidence is present. We are showing where they are and we will address them one by one,” he asserted.

While reacting on the long-standing dispute surrounding Mathura-Krishna Janmabhoomi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said that his government is only following the orders of the court.

“Why should I not raise the issue of Mathura? Isn’t Mathura the birthplace of Shri Krishna? All the important places of Sanatana Hindu Dharma are the symbols of our heritage,” the CM said.

On being asked about mosques covered with tarpaulin in Sambhal days before Holi as part of precautionary measures, Yogi Adityanath said, “If you are playing with colours, it is possible that it can be put on someone, but it does not spoil one’s identity. There are processions during Muharram. Doesn’t the shadow of their flag fall on any Hindu house or near a Hindu temple? Does it make the house impure? There are strict instructions to not put colours on anyone who does not agree to it… Don’t they wear coloured clothes?…You wear coloured clothes, but if colour is put on you, you create problems, why the double-standards?…Hug each other. Many Muslims have played Holi with us…”

Watch the ANI podcast that marked Yogi Adityanath’s eight years in Uttar Pradesh government making him the longest-serving Chief Minister in the state’s history and the only one to serve two consecutive terms. In this interview, CM Yogi Adityanath has discusses multiple burning and controversial issues of current time including his government’s achievements over the past eight years. He shared his vision for making Uttar Pradesh a one-trillion-dollar economy, defended bulldozer action to eliminate ‘Mafia Raj’ in the state and addressed concerns over Muslim safety in Uttar Pradesh.

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
