What’s new. GA4 now displays a Consent Signal Rating per data stream, effectively auditing your Consent Mode setup. The tool categorizes your implementation as Excellent or Good (with more statuses potentially coming, though none have been observed yet).

Why we care. Google is tightening enforcement on privacy compliance. This includes blocking conversion tracking for advertisers who don’t implement Consent Mode correctly. The new Consent Signal Rating gives a clear, stream-level view of whether your setup meets Google’s standards. If your rating isn’t Excellent, your ad performance and attribution data could suffer, especially in privacy-regulated regions like the EU.
