Delhi managed 162/8 after being asked to bat first by RCB at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Abishek Porel blazed away with a 28 off just 11 balls, giving DC early momentum, but the innings stuttered with regular wickets. KL Rahul steadied the ship with a composed 41 off 39, while Tristan Stubbs injected urgency in the death overs, hammering a 34 off 18. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s superb 3/33 and Hazlewood’s 2/36 dismantled DC’s middle and lower order efficiently. Krunal Pandya and Yash Dayal provided crucial breakthroughs as DC struggled to capitalize fully on a good platform. The Capitals managed only 54 runs for 4 wickets in the final five overs, missing out on a bigger finish.
