The Wankhede Stadium witnessed a run-fest on Sunday night as Mumbai Indians (MI) produced a clinical performance to crush Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 9 wickets in Match 38 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. But it was Suryakumar Yadav who ensured there were no hiccups. The flamboyant batter went berserk, hammering 68* off just 30 balls, including five towering sixes and six crisp boundaries. The duo added an unbeaten 120-run stand for the second wicket to take MI home with 26 balls to spare.
With this dominant win, Mumbai Indians have sent a strong message to the rest of the competition. The return to form of Rohit Sharma, combined with SKY’s sublime touch, could be the boost MI needed mid-season.
