The Chennai based NDR Warehousing has forayed into Kerala’s industrial spaces and logistics infrastructure to set up a 5-lakh sq ft Grade A storage space.
The company has acquired 16 acres near Aluva as assured at the Invest Kerala Global Summit held in February. The plots have been acquired under two SPVs: NDR Storewell Warehousing LLP (8 acres) and NDR Space Private Limited (8.39 acres).
With a proposed investment of ₹250 crore in FY25, the project will be a state-of-the-art semi-to fully-automated facility, leveraging high-precision mechanical systems to optimize inventory and stock management.
The facility will set new benchmarks in Kerala’s logistics sector, offering scalable and modern infrastructure to support the state’s evolving supply chain needs, said Raj Srinivasan, CEO, NDR said. NDR Warehousing is evaluating the future development of a commercial or mixed-use facility as its long-term vision for the region.
Kerala’s strategic location, rising consumption demand and improving infrastructure make the state a key market for modern warehousing, he said. “Our investment in Aluva is a long-term commitment to supporting Kerala’s industrial and logistics ecosystem. This facility will enable our clients to operate efficiently in southern India while creating tangible value for the local community”, he added.
Industries Minister P Rajeeve who held discussions with NDR officials said the project is an example of the government’s continuous efforts to attract high-quality investments and create an environment conducive for industrial growth. The facility is coming up amid a growing demand in FMCG, pharmaceutical and third-party logistics in the region.
The project will create employment for 150 to 200 skilled professionals besides around 25 unskilled workers, contributing to local economic growth and industrial development, he said.
The 1986-founded NDR offers modern infrastructure that addresses Kerala’s expanding distribution network needs. The company partners with global brands by offering cost-effective supply chain solutions, reinforcing the country’s position as a logistics hub.
