Monsoon has also entered more parts of Karnataka, including garden city Bengaluru, which was in any case being pounded by pre-monsoon systems, as also remaining parts of Tamil Nadu; and some parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the monsoon’s Bay of Bengal arm covered remaining parts of Mizoram; all of Tripura; Manipur; Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh; and some parts of Assam and Meghalaya today.
Its northern limit passes Mumbai, Pune, Sholapur, Kalaburagi and Mahbubnagar on the western side and Kavali; Agartala; and Golpara in the east.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) said conditions are favourable for it to advance into remaining parts of Karnataka; some more parts of Telangana; Andhra Pradesh; remaining parts of the North-Eastern States; and some parts of hills of West Bengal and Sikkim in the next three days.
