Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) Limited, the engineering and manufacturing PSU under the Ministry of Defence recorded a net profit of ₹288 crore in the fourth quarter of FY25, a 12 per cent year-on-year increase from the ₹257 crore in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal.
Revenue from operations for the quarter stood at ₹1,653 crore, a 6 per cent increase compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company also saw a 14 per cent EBITDA growth to ₹427 crore from ₹375 crore.
BEML reported a marginal dip in revenue for the full financial year to ₹4,022 crore against the ₹4,054 crore recorded in FY24. The company said that this was offset by a strong improvement in operational efficiency and profitability. BEML’s annual EBITDA margin improved to 13.20 per cent.
Commenting on the results, the Chairman and Managing Director of BEML said, “As we step into a strategic growth phase, we’ve secured land in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to establish new facilities for Rail & Metro, Mining & Construction equipment. These plants will boost our capacity, reinforce self-reliance, and align with India’s vision of becoming a global manufacturing powerhouse”.
The company’s shares closed at ₹383.60 on BSE, up 0.065 per cent on May 23.
