Kissandhan crosses ₹3,244 crore in loan disbursals, empowers over 37,000 farmers

Kissandhan, a multi-asset NBFC for farmers and a wholly owned subsidiary of Sohan Lal Commodity Management Ltd (SLCM) has disbursed total loans worth over ₹3,244.22 crore.

A media statement said the company had facilitated cumulative disbursements of ₹2,539.75 crore under its commodity-based finance model against 49,976 storage receipts.

Till date, Kissandhan’s overall clientele base has expanded to 37,642, encompassing agri traders, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), women beneficiaries, farmers, and other stakeholders. Of this, 37,185 were women. The average loan ticket size for these beneficiaries stood at ₹43,317. Kissandhan has extended its services to 125 FPOs.

The statement said that Kissandhan has recently added ‘Jan Samridhi’, a microloan against property, to its product portfolio and has already facilitated loans worth ₹1.13 crore.

‘Credit a right’

Quoting Sandeep Sabharwal, Group CEO, SLCM Group, it said: “We are truly delighted to have crossed the ₹3,000 crore loan disbursal milestone, which stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to empowering agricultural communities.
